Men are Immortal !!!!!!..

Today’s Business Line carries an article in which the renowned futuristic American scientist Ray Kurzweil (known to have predicated future technologies decades ahead) in which he predicts that men (and women) can become immortal by 2029. He says nanobots (A nanobots is a microscopic robot built with nanotechnology) will replace blood and doctors will be able to program the organs (and restart when required) and a back up of the brain can be taken and restored.
I am personally not comfortable with men being ‘’immortal”. While it is great to see the technology, what a mess it will create. Imagine the sizes of queues at the airports, hospitals, schools, restaurants, roads and even toilets. People will no longer ‘’retire” from their jobs. There may be no motivation to study as you will anyway not get a job until your great grandpa retires (dies, may be at the hands of a software engineer). And, it will take away the pleasure of birth and pain of death that we experience around us. And I can go on and on
I LIKE MEN TO BE “MORTAL”
